I don't think you'll find anyone less enthusiastic about a home makeover than the woman in this video. After her husband totally redoes the family kitchen, he springs a surprise that he hopes evokes a reaction of joy and appreciation. What he gets instead is the most disapproving response I've ever seen. You can watch it all unfold in the video below.
There is no "thank you" and there are no tears of joy. The first words out of her mouth are how she doesn't like the color he painted the walls. I think it goes without saying that that wasn't what he was hoping to hear. It's obvious he put a lot of effort into this project, and it's even more obvious that all of the changes he made were with her specifically in mind.
No matter. Everything that he did came with a snide remark. He even had a special ice machine installed and her only comment was that it was pointless and redundant. It's not that she's even mad at the alleged $60,000 bill (my guess is that isn't very accurate); she just doesn't appreciate anything that he's done, and he catches every bit of it on tape.
How would you have responded if you were her husband? I know I would have felt awful. Not at the fact that I didn't make her happy, but because she showed zero appreciation for a husband who went above and beyond.
