Typically when you see the iconic red label of Coca-Cola, you think of the refreshing beverage that's been a part of society for over a century. The soft drink first appeared in 1886 when pharmacist Dr. John S. Pemberton created a flavored syrup that he mixed with carbonated water and sold for five cents a glass. The rest was history. Nowadays you can't go anywhere without seeing rows and rows of the drink - whether you're at a grocery, corner store, or a gas station. Coke is everywhere.
One thing that intrigues us is when people use Coke in ways we wouldn't expect. We've seen Coke in the bathroom, used to clean a toilet, and we've seen Coke in the kitchen, as a glazing for chicken wings. The video below comes courtesy of Amy Locurto and highlights another use for Coke that you don't often come across. She adds a can of the beverage into her cake batter, and uses the empty can in displaying the end result. It may sound strange, but it looks delicious!
Would you try this treat out in the kitchen? It sure looks tasty, doesn't it? Amy originally recommended this little treat for Super Bowl Sunday, but we don't think you need an occasion to make this tasty cupcake. If you try this recipe out, let us know how it goes in the comments section below. If you were intrigued, be sure to share the video on Facebook!
