Flavored vodkas are all the rage lately, and I recently discovered that they're not all that difficult to make! In the video below, the crew over at Tipsy Bartender walks us through the process of making Jolly Rancher-flavored vodka. This process also works with Skittles, but Jolly Ranchers are easier and require less preparation.
First thing you'll want to do is gather ingredients. For this creation, you'll need one glass container for each flavor you want to make - typically a standard Jolly Rancher bag will have 5 flavors: blue raspberry, green apple, watermelon, cherry, and grape. You'll also need vodka! Use whichever brand you prefer.
The ratio of candy/vodka is entirely up to you! You can make your concoction as sweet as you'd like, but in the video they use 12 Jolly Ranchers per liter of vodka. This makes the final product have a good amount of sweetness. if you'd rather the candy taste be more subtle, you should probably only use 6-10 Jolly Ranchers per liter.
Once the Jolly Ranchers are in the glass bottle, fill it up with vodka and wait 24 hours. And there you have it! You don't have to worry about stirring or shaking, the candy will dissolve on its own and you'll be left with delicious, home-made Jolly Rancher vodka!
