There's nothing more annoying than having to wait for cold hard butter to soften so you can spread it on your bread - when you're craving toast with melting pats, softening butter can be an absolute pain. Sure, you could toss it in the microwave to try to warm it up, but you risk being left with liquid butter instead of an actual spread. On the flip side, you could wait until it softens, but who has time for that? Luckily, there's a solution for that. Making use of the lid of the butter container, this simple trick saves you a little bit of time so you can spend the rest actually eating the bread.
