It's hard to resist indulging in a tasty snack, especially when it's covered in cheese and accompanied with a delectable dipping sauce. Even if you tend to shy away from regularly eating vegetables, this easy-to-follow recipe is bound to make a veggie-lover out of you. Thanks to the YouTube channel "CookWithApril," you can transform zucchini slices into crunchy chips in no time at all.
Zucchini chips, albeit somewhat bizarre, provide a 'healthy' alternative to store-bought potato chips, which are often
high in sodium and calories. Many consumers have turned to different forms of vegetable chips as a means of lowering sodium and fat intake. These alternative chips are extremely versatile; everything from
beets, squash, and even fennel can be transformed into a crispy treat that's easier on the body.
There are several ways to prepare vegetable chips. As April Athena demonstrates in her video below, zucchini chips can be coated in bread crumbs and cheese to add extra flavor, but for an even healthier method, zucchini chips can simply be
sprinkled with seasoning and left to dehydrate.
Athena's "Zucchini Crisps!" video has been a huge hit on her channel; viewed by close to 100,000 people, her simple tutorial has inspired many to try their hand at the recipe since it was uploaded in November 2014. Athena and her husband Justin live in Northern California with their one-year-old son Liam. In addition to her cooking channel, Athena also hosts a lifestyle
vlog and a
beauty/DIY channel. Athena has seen huge success across all of her YouTube channels and continues to share her life experience and joy with others however she can, even if it's with something as simple as crispy zucchini.
