Nothing says "summer" quite like tea and watermelon. The folks over at the Youtube channel Food Life Hacks have come up with a brilliant way to combine the two! By brewing tea inside the husk of a watermelon, the videographer creates a refreshing summer drink!
Start by emptying out a watermelon. Don't let the fruit go to waste! Once the inside of the melon is empty, cut off the top of the melon and pour in your preferred tea and hot water. In the video below, the person making the tea uses whole tea leaves. While some prefer whole tea leaves, I personally think it would be easier and cleaner to use tea bags instead. Once the tea is brewed, take out the bags and you're done! If you want to get really fancy, you can cut a lip out of the melon and use it as a spout!
Do you think you'll give this a shot? I'd love to try it and see how much the watermelon taste affects the tea. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
