If you have every seen a spiral cut hot dog and wondered how and why someone does that, this video is prefect for you. Blake Smith from CHOW.com shows how you can easily spiral-cut and cook up hot dogs right at home. The technique is very easy and you end up with a pretty cool looking hot dog. If you aren't sold on just the looks, it has its benefits as well. When a hot dog is cooked in a spiral, you can get a more thorough and complete cook throughout the whole dog. Also, when you add your condiments before you eat it, the crevices will hold them in place so they don't just slide right off and saturate your bun.
